Gun Gadgets: Binary Targets

In this video the item that goes out of view and then is seen later falling down is a 50lb+ piece of AR500 steel that was placed over a 3lb canister of binary target. This weekend I purchased 15lbs for a pumpkin shoot!

Growing up on the Mexican border provided a childhood full of excitement. At a very young age I was introduced to the wonders of explosives, and that fascination has never ended! Being able to use explosives and shoot guns is icing on cake. There are many commercial variants, but they all contain two ingredients: 95% Ammonium Nitrate and 5% Aluminum Powder (300-600 mesh). So an example of this mixture would be 100g Ammonium Nitrate and 5g Aluminum Powder. I purchase both items in bulk on ebay for a very reasonable price, I then use gatorade bottles or similar containers.

Please Note: BLM currently does not allow these to be used on their land. It is illegal to transport this already mixed. You saw how far that steel plate traveled...be careful! Obey laws and be respectful with this.
